I agree with everything thats been said. My female loves everybody and everything but dont let that mistake you she will protect if she feels she has to. Shes great with male dogs but I havent tried her with females do to the fact that this breed rarely ever gets along with the same sex. My opinion is its luck of the draw and the pick of the pup. My girl just turned 3, and has just in the last 6-8 months started showing some aggression. She hates all small submissive breeds; most dogs that she isn't familiar w/ that get in her face. Gets along great w/ her bird dog brothers and my in-laws pointers, weimeraners, retrievers. She even likes my Mom's 1 y.o. (F) English bull. Strange thing is she loves cats....No aggression towards cats.?. Go figure.
She's kinda hard to figure (unpredictable) but definitly not dog park material. Total sweetheart to people and kids though. |

before you bought your dog.if my american bulldog did not bow up and want to protect itself and me i would put it down. you the owner need to use common sense and controll the dog...be the pack leader.you might want to sell your dog or since you cut him give him away.cut or not he will be the dominate dog at your house sooner later. he is doing what he is bred for.i dont allow my dog,s to fight.i do not go to places like dog park,s where people cant controll thier dog,s....thier not meant for american bulldog,s. at least for mine,it aint fair for my dog to be on a leash and be atacked by dog,s running loose.
