Default Snake proofing

Looking for suggestions on snake proofing dog kennels. We have a second home near Heflin, AL and I was mowing the dog pens last weekend and ran off a rattlesnake. I mowed the first pen and moved into the second pen when Dave came by on the riding mower and saw it moving into the woods from the first pen. We have a wooden deck in the pens with shelter for shade and I think it was under there while I was cutting and then moved off when I left the pen. The Lord was with me let me tell you. By the time he got back from the house with his pistol it was long gone. Now I'm spooked and don't want to take my dogs back to Alabama. Appreciate all suggestions. DebbieP

Default Sulfur

Hey Debbie,
Go to your local farm supply and get a bag of pure sulfur and spread it all around the perimeter of your yard. They actually make a snake preventive in a bag and charge a arm and a leg for it. It is only sulfur. Snakes don't like sulfur . Hope this helps, Mitchell.

Default Thanks Mitchell!

I'm on my way to the farm supply. Shame on me for not calling you directly. Thank you - Debbie
